In the recent UVM Quarterly (Fall 2011), this find: Rachel Comey, designer.
She’s become known for non-trendy designs in eye-catching prints that make for a hip librarian look.
Want, this and more. Ironically, no librarian (or teacher) could actually afford these clothes.

Everyone wants to look like us. Although I have to say, not many of my fellow librarians look “trendy.” I can think of three out of the couple of hundred people that work in my library (me not included….yet!).
Oooh, I like that dress. Which reminds me of something I’ve been meaning to ask: did you ever attempt to recreate that dress you were pining for, but which turned out to be better in your memory than it was in real life?
R, I’m going to attempt the dress I’ve been pining for over January break. When everything happens. π
Ah, yes. I have many unrealistic plans for that time, myself. But I hope you really get a chance to make the dress (and then blog about it, naturally). π
